Denjong Charities, a non-governmental organization (NGO), is a beacon of hope and service committed to positively impacting society. Registered under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882, with the Sub-Registrar in Gangtok, Sikkim, this trust, with registration number 15, has been actively involved in addressing key issues such as Art and culture, Children's welfare, Education and literacy, Vocational Training, and various other charitable activities.

Ms. Kunzang Choeki 

Secretary & Trustee

Ms. Kunzang Choeki is pursuing her Ph.D. and was formerly the State Lead for 17K Feet Foundation and an elementary teacher at Taktse International School. She has an M.Ed. in education and is currently the Additional Director for both PLF and Khelum Foundation. She is committed to bringing excellent education to the students and teachers of Sikkim.

Ms. Tshering Eden

Trustee

Ms. Tshering Eden is a writer and journalist, with over 12 years experience in the print media. Based in Sikkim, she has worked with English dailies Sikkim NOW! and Summit Times. She was one of the Founding Directors of the Council for Democratic Civic Engagement (CDCE) and pioneered podcasting in Sikkim with the “Sikkim Podcast.” Ms Eden is co-editor of the book ‘The Birds Have Lost Their Way’ along with the preeminent journalist, Mr. Pema Wangchuk Dorjee.  An English Literature graduate from Miranda House in Delhi University, she did her post graduation in Development Communication from AJK MCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia University.

LEYDROL TSOKPA TRUSTEE EMERITUS

The Leydrol Tsokpa Committee is a vital extension of the Denjong Charities Trust, embodying the collective wisdom and experience of its distinguished Elders. Constituted by the Trustees of the Denjong Charities Trust, this committee is comprised of nominated individuals who have previously served as Trustees of the Trust. Their roles, however, extend beyond mere advisory; they actively participate in the Trust's mission to serve and uplift the community in Sikkim.

Mr. Sonam Wangdi

Better known as Babula, is an engineer with the state government. He is a founding member of Taktse International School. His contribution also extended towards building the statue of the patron saint of Sikkim, Padmasambhava at Ravangla.
